Hello student,

It's totally depends on your personal choice, every hostel has it's own advantage and disadvantage. If you want to stay in hostel, then you don't need to worry about god's, however you will not have that much freedom like a mess or rented apartment. Whereas, in case of a rented apartment, you will have freedom, you can come and go , but you have to arrange your own food. If you are talking about dispute among hostellers, then it is one of the common thing which happens at every hostel, its ust differs in term of duration, so if it's quite frequent and hampers study, then you should not stay there. These are my personal opinion.

Hope it helps
