Find out about the others courses in the college.
What is their placement rate for other courses.
Staff members.
If the college itself in newly built then i will suggest you to avoid it since there is nothing to backup about the college.

You haven't mentioned about your college. So I'm just taking a random example of a newly built college. So there are many factors which affect placements. So first Alumni approach but your college is new so not an option here. Another is where is college is based. If a college is in a metro city more Companies visit it. But for instance of its an NIT or IIIT Or IIM types then relax you have good amount of chances. And if you belong to any private university it depends on reach of your College's placement cell.
