The 10% reservation for EWS quota will be applicable from this year onwards. But it is difficult to find the cutoff score for this category as we don't have any previous data. Since this category has been included only this year we don't know how it works as what the cutoff score will be. However if your name is in the merit list you are eligible for the counseling and I would advise you to make your category documents ready and take them along during the counseling.
