Yes, Of course, a student can apply for the NEET examination even if he/she has written a compartment exam as long as he/she is fulfilling the marks criteria provided by NEET. Once you will qualify your compartment then only you can appear in medical entrance exam because it is under the rule that the candidate has to pass the class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and biology. The minimum percentage required in 12th should not be less than 50 and 45 for reserved categories.

Dear Amit, whether you have passed in compartmental exams or regular exams is of little importance. The eligibility criteria state that you should have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as your core subjects. You should have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology if you belong to General Category. It is 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC/SC/ST.
