Students prefer doing MBBS from government colleges as the fee is extremely nominal. However, it depends on the college and the state in which you want to take admission. If the hostel fee is included, the annual fee would be Rs. 50,000 to 2 lakh for many colleges. Hence, for 5 years, the fee would be 10 lakh approximately. However, the fee for many government colleges is less than 8 lakhs. Institutions such as AIIMS and Maulana Azad Medical College have Rs.1000-2000 as their tuition fee. Hence, if you secure a good rank, you can get into colleges with less than 5 lakhs as their total 5-year fee (including hostel)
