Hi

Admission in IITs is through the jee advanced.

No, with 56% you are not eligible for jee advanced 2022

This is because

One needs at least 65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or must be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 examination to be eligible for jee advanced . For this year i. e 2021 this percentage requirement in class 12th has been lifted off but it Will be there in 2022 , but don't worry you can appear in improvement examination so that you can improve your %  beyond 65% and be eligible for JEE advanced 2022

jee advanced eligibility criteria is given below :-

-------) you need to pass your class 12th with at least 75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least 65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or must be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 examination. For this year i. e 2021 this percentage requirement in class 12th has been lifted off.

-----) You can give JEE advanced examination for the maximum of consecutive 2 years starting from the year of appearing for your 12th examination i. e to be eligible for JEE advanced 2022 your 12th board examination appearing year should be either 2022 or 2021

-----) There is upper age limit, according to which to be eligible for jee advanced 2022,you should be born on or after 1st October 1997. There is 5 years of age relaxation for SC, ST and PwD so candidates of SC/ST /PWD needs to be  born on or after October 1, 1992

-----) you must qualify JEE main 2022 to be eligible for jee advanced 2022
