The JoSAA counselling process is held in several 6-7 rounds along with the Mock Seat Allotment Round and the Spot Round at the end for filling the remaining seats in different colleges.

The candidates have to submit their Category Certificate and fill his/her Category very precisely because once filled, it can't be altered or changed later as there is specific reservation criteria for different categories in government Institutions.
