Yes you have made correct choice by taking MECHANICAL engineering. There are only 3 CORE ENGINEERING BRANCHES and they are MECHANICAL, CIVIL and ELECTRICAL and the demand for these branches never goes down. The placement is average in FLOBAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY for mechanical, the average is around 3 lpa but you can always grab good placement with your hard work. The advantage comes for mechanical engineering is in MBA and FOREIGN MS. The demand is on high in GERMANY for mechanical engineers and other foreign countries. And if you wish to fo MBA in India then i assure you that you will get preference over other branch students including CSE, CIVIL, EEE etc. So work hard and grab good job.
