Depending on your scores in any other examinations you may have written to do an MCA in different colleges, you may be eligible for this course in a college better than VIT

I would recommend comparing your rank in all exams you have appeared for against the cut-offs of various college, listing down your options and then researching which of them is the best.

Regarding VIT, MCA students are considered for placements by companies that arrive for on-campus placements, hence it would be ideal to be a part of such a campus. Also the name VIT hold prestige in the Indian company market, so if VIT appears to be your best option, you should go for it.
