Hy Gaurav,
It's sound good that you are already a management student and wanted to do mba in future.
Well as you are from management background so you need atleast one year of preparation or more depending upon your schedule as you have to do your graduation as well.
You can join classroom coaching for 2 years which took place at weekends and it will make you familiar with concepts.
Start your preparation with sheer determination. Whenever you feel demotivated, you can dream about the day when you will crack the exam and it will definitely motivate you. March-April is a good time to start preparation for the exam which will be held in October-November.
I wish you all the best Gaurav. Go ahead.
Cheers !!

One year is sufficient for CAT preparation. CAT has three sections. that is Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Intrepretation and Logical Reasoning.

You can start your basic preparation for Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability from now onwards so that you have sufficient time to devote.

For Verbal Ability that's English preparation you should start reading newspapers and novels daily to improve your vocabulary and reading speed. It also enhances your understanding of the subject.

For Quantitative Aptitude preparation you can refer to following reference books as per your choice and understanding :
1) How to prepare for Quantitative Aptitude for the CAT How to prepare for Data Interpretation for the CAT How to prepare for Logical Reasoning for the CAT How to prepare for Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension for the CAT
All by Arun Sharma and Minakshi Upadhyay
2) Pearson Guide to Quantitative Aptitude for CAT by Nishit Sinha Pearson Guide to Quantitative Aptitude and Data Intrepretation for CAT by Nishit Sinha Pearson Guide to Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning for CAT by Nishit Sinha There are others books like Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis, High School English Grammar and Composition by Wren and Martin etc to help you for your preparation.
There are websites offering free and paid CAT coaching and also there are YouTube channels who can help you regarding the same.
You can also join various coaching institutes like TIME, CL, IMS etc or the online coaching institutes also for concepts and mock tests.
All the best!
