As per my knowledge, you are talking about Economically Weaker Section quota. It does not depend on the marks you scored.

As per government rules, there are different criteria to be fulfilled by the person to be eligible for EWS quota:

1)Family has a gross annual income below Rs 8 lakh (Rupees eight lakh only) .

2)Your family should not own or possess agricultural land of size 5 acres or above.

3) Your family should not own or possess a residential flat of area 1000 sq.feet or more.

4)Your family should not own or possess a residential plot of area 100 sq.yards or more in notified municipalities.

5) Your family should not own or possess a residential plot of area 200 sq.yards or more in areas other than in notified municipalities.

If you are fulfilling this criteria , you have to ontain EWS certificate after which you will be eligible for reserved seats under EWS quota.
