First of all congratulations for putting on a good score.42.76 is a Good score.But if you had scored more it would have been a better score.

Compared to last year cut off in electrical department you have a good score and can easily clear the cutoff irrespective of the category.

As you know category also matters a lot in the final selection of college or getting into a job through GATE exam.

If you are from SC/ST you have Better chances of conversion to JOB.If not you will definitely get a Good IIT.

If you are from O BC category you may get a job .But chances are less but you can find a Good IIT.

If you are from OC category you will definitely clear the 2019 cutoff .You may get an IIT.You should improve your score for a Better College/JOB.

Hope you will find a Good job.Even If you cant find don't loose the hope and do better in the next attempt.
