There are almost 70+ affiliated colleges in Delhi University and the top colleges offers admission based on merit where cutoff is above 90% and some even have 98% so you don't have chance there but there are also some average colleges that offer admission on entrance basis but for that too one must have 60% if they belong to general category.Since you only have 55% the only way possible for you to appear is if you belong SC or ST category.

I would like to tell you that if you are looking for a merit based course in DU, then you will not be able to get admission since the cutoff for DU courses is high. The entrance based courses also requires a student to secure minimum 60% aggregate marks and more in 10+2 to become eligible for entrance based courses. You can look for colleges which accepts admissions to students who have scored 50% marks or higher.
