To do M.Tech in electronics & instrumentation in IIT and other central government colleges. You will need to give GATE exam as electronics and instrumentation as your subject. After that you need to apply in the college of your choice with GATE score.

Some states have their own exam like Tancet for admission in M.Tech courses. You can also try them to get admission in state university's.

All admissions in iits and nits for Mtech programs are through GATE now and so you'll have to secure a good rank in gate in the respective branch from which you want to do your mtech. You will have to choose subjects there from which you want to do your mtech.
