Hi Ramnivash, in my opinion, with this rank, I think you will be able to get branches like Chemical etc if you are from general category. If you are from some reserved category you might be able to get more branches.              

It all depends on which branch you choose.

Well, basing upon your rank, it seems like you may not get admission in government polytechnic Gorakhpur, but still you can give it a try at the time of counseling and and it's better to apply for colleges in your own home state so that the chances of getting admission are high.
