you can try for home state and lower north eastern nit's , in these college cutoff is generally lesser .

According to your rank and category , you can try for iiit's like-

1) iiit pune

2) iiit  bhagalpur

3) iiit una

4) iiit  surat

5) iiit kalyani  and other iiit's

you can also try for other gfti which take admission under josaa  like these -

1) bit mesra

2) pec chandigarh

also participate in csab, so you can get a decent branch like production and metallurgy  , in them .

Do apply for home state counselling also as you can get some good state government engineering colleges in your state .  Hence apply for the csab round and state government counselling and you might get a good college .

I would like to inform you that in SC category this rank is still not good enough to fetch you a seat in NITs. The cutoffs are mostly under 1000 for NITs. Maximum rank can go upto 15000 in few branches.
If you belong to the home state of any NIt such as NIT Agartala or NIT Kurukshetra, then you can expect a seat in those colleges with this rank.
