Dear Suman, it mainly depends on the State you belong to. Though its origin is traced to Haryana, states like Karnataka and Uttar Prasesh, where they are prominent, they belong to OBC Category. In Punjab they come under minority Category. In most States like Haryana, AP, Telanga, they belong to OBC Category.
