In CAT, there are three sections- Quant, DI/LR and Verbal whereas in XAT there are 5 sections- Verbal, Decision making and Analytical reasoning, Quant/DI, General knowledge and Essay writing…
Verbal in XAT is quite different from CAT as in CAT there are questions on Reading comprehension, parajumbles, summary based questions, whereas in XAT apart from CAT questions can be asked from vocab, synonym/antonyms, fill in the blanks, FIJ etc..
Quant/DI and reasoning syllabus is same but the difficulty level of these questions is high in XAT as compared to CAT
