Dear JEE Aspirant,

JEE Mains is one of the most toughest and competitive exams in India. It is the milestone towards JEE Advanced and therefore getting into the much coveted IITs. Statistics speaks that securing 90 percentile is insufficient for getting into top NITs (irrespective of branch) and 99percentile is insufficient for CS branch in NITs. In the consecutive rounds that follows the first round, people with 99percentile often gets a chance but securing 99.5% is safe. Hope this helps.
