It is quite hard to predict the exact situation as it depends on the number of students attempting the exam and the preferences of the students etc.

CSE is one of the most preferred branch of engineering in NIT and hence it is highly competitive.

If your CRL is 990, you have an excellent chance of getting CSE in NIT Trichy.

If your category rank is 990, you don't have a good chance of getting CSE .

In this case you have a really good chance of getting Production, and a small chance of getting instrumentation.
