Hello Nitish, 

For the social sciences admission in BHU you will need to clear a common entrance exam (as is the case with any competitive exam) . It generally consists of General knowledge and reasoning questions. 

As for books, you can follow Lucent for GK,  history, geography and polity. 

For important dates and personalities you can refer to Pratiyogita Darpan.  

For the reasoning questions, I'm afraid you will have to look up previous year's papers.

Remember the exam has negative marking. So answer only if you are sure.
