Generally the syllabus for bams remains same in Maharashtra as well as Karnataka.In first course you are taught about subjects like Anatomy,Ayurveda,Physiology etc.In the second phase you are taught about Toxology,Pharmacology,Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Science.In the third phase you are taught about modern medicines like Modern anatomy,principles of surgery etc.

This curriculum generally gets maintained throughout.
