Techno india salt lake and techno india university both falls under techno india group (TIG).  Both shares the same campus. 

The fees structure of TIU and TISL are different. TIU charges 79000 per sem (approximately)  and TISL charges around 40000.

You have to have high rank and good marks to get into TISL. 

TISL is the 3rd best private college in West Bengal. 

In case of placement TISL is far better than TIU. 

So overall TISL is better than TIU.
