As you are aspiring for NEET 2020 from 2017 than I must say that your dreams must be very high and all the best for that

I should say that always the best book for biology will be ncert.. yes this book contains lots of controversial material but it is the most valuable book according to CBSE

And for neet you must trust and follow this book only because if any particular point is written in this book that means it is right according to CBSE and marks will be alloted according to the book only..

But the most important thing is this book has a typical writing pattern which can't be understood by just reading this book only and for that you should use some other book to decode the things written in Ncert..But you can't skip this book..

As your preference book you can use coaching institutes modules or any theoretical and MCQ containing books which will definitely help you

For Biology, study NCERT only. Solve questions from Fingertips Biology MCQ Books. Solve NCERT Exemplar book and finally Previous year questions (2012-2018). Do not solve too old question papers because NCERT was different previously.
