Hello,

Percentile does not remain the same. Percentile is the number of candidates who scored same or less than you. It depends on the highest score scored by a candidate. For example in one session the highest score is 290 marks then it is marked as 100th percentile and in another session if the highest score is 295 then it is marked as 100th percentile and the candidates scoring below 295 will be marked its preceding percentile. All these scores are normalized and percentile is given and it depends on marks scored in individual subjects, percentage of candidates scoring equal or less marks etc. Using our JEE Main Rank Predictor Tool based on previous year data you need to score 70 or above marks to get 90 percentile.
