Hello

Pros and cons:

Pros :

if you want to go to engineering then diploma option is best, bcoz here you learn about a particular field in depth, whereas in 12th you learn the whole science as a basic

You will be much more technically sounded compared to the 12th completed students , as we get so much practical knowledge

After 12th there is much competition for admission in colleges, due to which students fail to get admission in interested field.

After diploma you get admission directly to 2nd year in engineering. Diploma students have advantage in degree as they have to just revise what they learnt earlier with little deep study in it.You save a lot of money if you get admission in govt. colleges in diploma compared to high fees of 11th & 12th classes and also of entrance exams.Diploma students are more disciplined as per my opinion, as during their joining they are kid; they take all assignments and projects seriously .i have seen regular students mugging up whereas diploma students have basic concept cleared.

Cons:

Diploma students communication skills are lower than regular students.Maths this is the only subject where diploma students will have to concentrate muchhh. Its good diploma students have one extra degree, but some companies recruit only 12th cleared students (very rare cases though).

So if you want to join engineering Diploma is ofcourse a better option!!!

I hope it will help you

Good luck....
