The Vellore Institute of Technology administers VITEEE every year to allow aspirants to take admission in various undergraduate engineering courses (BTech) of participating institutes. Around two Lakh students enrol for VITEEE each year. VIT University published the VITEEE 2021 application form on November 30, 2020. The last date for subitting the application form was May 21, 2021. VITEEE 2021 was administered on May 28, 29 and 31, 2021. Aspirants who wished to give the exam had to submit the VITEEE 2021 application form and book their slots. Re-exam for eligible aspirants was carried out on June 10, 2021. VITEEE 2021 result was published on June 12, 2021 in the official website.

VIT has been accredited with 'A' grade  by NAAC. It has been ranked 16th by NIRF among Universities in 2020 and 15th among Engineering Colleges in 2020.
