There's no doubt VIT is far better than Amrita college . In NIRF ranking 2019 , the position of VIT IS 18th i.e it is 18th top most engineering college of India but Amrita is not even in top 100 engineering college.

NIRF ranking covers all aspects such as,

Infrastructure, Faculty, Placements, Industry exposure, Affordabality ,campus nature,research and many more.

Both are good colleges. If you are getting admission in any above college, then you are lucky. But According to me, VIT is a good choice. Vit has a good placement record & has a well furnished lab department. Both Tech. & Non Tech. Company will come in vit. So Vit is a good choice. Best of luck.
