Hello Vishal,

Matter waves are nothing but waves associated with moving quantum particles. The properties of the particle are governed by the matter waves. These matter waves interfere like ordinary waves in space, and the regions where these waves interfere constructively are the most probable regions for the presence of the associated particle. In contrast, the regions in space where they interfere destructively are the regions with low probability of finding the particle. The constructive interference regions in space can be considered as condensed regions of space. Actually these are the condensed regions that exhibit particle like behaviour. These waves are represented in terms of second order differential wave equations i.e. Schrodinger’s wave equation, and the associated function is called the probability wave function, which is complex in nature.
