Yes you can add physical education to your best four subjects list but 2.5% will be deducted from the BFS because Physical Education is not a list A subject. You have to add Maths, English(or any language) and two elective subjects of list A. You can find the list A subjects on DU's website. Best of Luck.

Hi, admission to Delhi University will he based on your percentile of 4 best subjects score combined and not the overall aggregate Percentage that you have scored in your qualifying examination. The subjects that you count in best of four are dependent on the course you choose. There are certain rules that are set By DU to help students calculate best of four percentage.

  • One language is compulsory (English/Hindi)
  • One academic/elective subject in which you wish to take admission
  • The rest two academic/elective subjects should be mentioned in LIST A and LIST B provided by DU in it's Bulletin of information. Any subject included that isn't mentioned in these lists will lead to 2.5% deduction of marks each.

Now coming to your question, You can include Physical education but it won,t be considered as an academic or elective subject, thus according to the rules 2.5% marks will be deducted from your best of four calculation. Physical education is one of those subjects listed by Delhi University that will only be considered as academic/elective subjects while opting for Honors in the same. So i would suggest that you consider another subject to include or make both calculations with and without physical education and heck which option gives you more chances of admission.
In order to check the list of subjects that you can include without getting 2.5% marks deducted refer to the article in this link:
