Hi

You have not mentioned your category so I am considering you general category student

It's quite difficult to make prediction but yes as per previous year trends, with 90 percentile your rank will be  around  85000 ,for this rank vs marks vs percentile you can refer to our page for which link is provided below:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile/amp#referrer=https://www.google.com&csi=1

These above  rank / percentile are just estimated rank and percentile, the actual rank/ percentile will vary a bit as above prediction is on the basis of past year trends but rank /percentile  keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination for different shifts of the exam etc

Also,

You can predict your rank using rank predictor at

And with predicted rank 85000  , you hold a very low chance to get a seat in good colleges like NIT under open state but yes if you have home state quota then you can get a seat in lower NITs  like

  • NIT Meghalaya :- for example, in 2019 , closing rank for Civil Engineering under home state , 117205 was closing rank for general category for gender neutral

  • NIT Manipur :- Computer Science and Engineering

  • NIT Mizoram :- civil engineering

For this you can refer to our page for which link is provided below:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches

If you don't have state quota in above lower nits then your chances of getting decent college like NITs is extremely low, so you might have some chance to get Government College through state counselling and don't worry to help you to have a clear picture of the colleges in which you have chances and to get the complete list of colleges in which you have chances on the basis of your category, your home state  etc, you can go through our jee main college predictor at

Now that,

You are going to appear for jee mains 2021 , so you should be focusing on your preparation,

  • practising chapterwise questions

  • then revising the chapters,

  • solve at least previous 10 year question papers as concept behind the question often gets repeated in the examination so it will be of great help in your preparation  ,

  • go through mock test papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination.

Thankyou

Hello Aspirant,

See it depends upon your category whether you will get any NIT or any other good college or not on such percentile in JEE-Main and since you have not mentioned your category so it's quite difficult to guide you with an accurate information. But if your score is 90 percentile in JEE-Main then your CRL Rank is expected some where around 40,000 to 60,000. Now on such rank in JEE-Main if you belongs to general category, then you may get some NITs like NIT Raipur, NIT Goa, NIT Puducherry, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Hamirpur and so on if you deserves Home state quota for them, Otherwise you have to go for state level GFTIs. Dear aspirant,

Getting 90 percentile means your rank is something about 87K in digits it is not a very bad rank still you have chances of getting  some good GFTI's like : For (general category)

1.Assam University, Silchar (CSE)

2.Assam University, Silchar (ECE)

3.Gurukul kangri ,Haridwar(ME)

There are many more but as I don't about your category i.e obc or general etc. Therefore I am not answering that much about it. You can also go with this link to know more about your rank and college you can get.
