CAT - Common Admission Test is a national level entrance examination, which is conducted for admission to management programs in Indian Institutes of Management (IIM's) and top B-Schools across the country. CAT is the mandatory computer based Common Admission Test for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes in 20 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other top MBA colleges in India. It is the largest national level MBA entrance test in India.  CAT is conducted online at the examination centres.

The test consists of three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability. It tests a candidate on his quantitative ability, data interpretation skills, verbal ability and logical reasoning. The test is open to all graduates. Usually, CAT examination will be held in November every year.
