Usually, you need several certificates during the admission in any institutions. But the IITs are premier institutions in India, so they require some special documents like the respective entrance exam certificates. To enter into IITs you need to clear JAM or GATE exams. Documents needed are

• Category certificate valid all over India
• Previous course mark sheet
• Respective exam score card
• Aadhar card
• Admit card
• Passport size photos
• and other relevant documents mentioned in the brouchure of respective IIT
