Hi Aditi, You have three options for getting admission in a medical college in India: 1) You apply in the 100% state quota which doesn't require NEET scores 2) If you really want to apply to any other college out of state, you will have to sign a Self-Declaration form (format given on NEET and CBSE site) stating that although you have been domicile in J&K, you have been staying there for other reasons, then: a) You can apply for the 15% All India Quota seats, which are in various government colleges across the country except Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. b) You can apply for seats in private medical colleges and deemed universites Please check the official CBSE site and NEET sites for more information regarding this matter and stay updated with the news as new rules are implemented. No, students belong to Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh cannot participate in AIQ as they can only apply for their state seats only. Apart from this, you can also participate in private colleges of other states but not all states allow the non local candidates or students who are not keeping domicile of that particular state to apply for their state seats like Maharashtra so you need to check the eligibility as the criteria varies state to state.
