First of all private medical colleges are very expensive,  We all know that they charge an arm and a leg to admit medical students.
There are some more problems other than fees; Inexperienced faculty; in most of the private colleges of India the faculty are poor. Usually they are the graduates of the very own private college teaching students on medicine.
While these may be true, but it's not fair to tar all private colleges with the same brush. Let's not forget that private medical colleges , such as Manipal Medical College, have turned out world class medical doctors, who are now leaders of the profession in the USA.
So , when you are getting into private medical college , it depends on which college you are going in .

The main disadvantages being

• Fees : well, it's a known fact that that the fees of Private Medical Colleges are too high as compared to that of the Govt. Medical Colleges.
• Clinical Exposure : The patient footfall in a Pvt. Hospital attached to the college is too low mainly owing to the treatment cost which won't be affordable to the poor section of the society. On the other hand, Govt. Hospitals having too cheap cost has huge patient load which gives ample variety of clinical cases for the students to learn from.
