Dear Sandhya, we are not sure what you nean by legal formalities. NEET is the entrance examination for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayush and Veterinary Courses. However, in States like Maharasthra, NEET score is considered for admission to other courses like B.P.T, B.Sc Nursing  etc. But in States like AP, Telangana, admissions to thesemcourses are based on merit scored in 10+2.
