Microbiology is a branch of life science and includes in it other science branch like agriculture, genomics, and pharmaceuticals. For UG level, students opt for BSc microbiology and similarly for PG level its MSc microbiology.

The basic eligiblity which is common in all the institutes for admission to BSc microbiology is that you have to qualify class 12th examination from a regocnised institute with Science stream and must have a minimum 55% aggregate.

• Gargi College, DU - The admissions are based on Merit score of class 12th. The applications would be available in the month of may. The best thing about this institute is that they allow the students to get into research experiment from UG level itself.
• The oxford College of Science Banglore - You need to fill the applications which you need to get from the college itself. The admission is based on the merit score of class 12th itself.
• Ethiraj College for WOmen, Chennai - You can drectly apply through the official website or also you can visit the college for the applications. The admission is purely merit based and no entrance is conducted.
• Kishinchand  Chellaram College, Mumbai - Visit the official website to fill the application forms. The admission is based on merit scores of class 12th itself. No admission test or entrance is conducted.
• Maharani Lakhsmi Ammanni College, Banglore - The college offers UG and PG courses for different arts, commerce and science courses. The applications need to be filled on the official website. The admission will be based on the merit and no entrance will be there.
