IIM takes admission on the basis of CAT percentile, and also takes into consideration the marks scored in graduation, class 10th and class 12th. Minimum percentile to be secured in cat is over 99, and also good enough scores in the best qualifications.

With all this criterias ticked, you will get admission into IIM.

MBA (Finance)  is a two-year postgraduate course, the eligibility for which is a bachelor's degree in any discipline with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (Relaxation of 5% is granted to SC/ST Candidates).You need to appeared for CAT Examination to get admission in IIMs. You are short listed for personal interviews from among candidates who have a valid CAT score. The top IIM's like IIM- A,B,C have high competition and the percentile needed to get an admission into them is almost 99 percent and above (to be on a safer a side). To get into IIMS you need to prepare for CAT. CAT (Common Admission Test) is a computer-based selection test conducted by IIMs as a prerequisite for entry into their MBA programs. The eligibility criteria for cat is that student must have completed their bachelor's degree from a recognised Institute they could be from the final year of any such Institute. To get Finance you must try for the top 6 Indian Institute of Management as they are the best in the country. If you are from general category and a engineer then and you need to at least have 99.5 plus percentile to get into the top 3 IIMs. And if you want to get into the New Indian Institute of Management then and you have to score at least 95 plus percentile to be eligible for the interview and written ability test round. After your interview and written ability test you are awarded with the admission letter if you qualify their composite score cutoff.
