There are 4 sections and each containing 50 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions), a total of 200 MCQs to be answered in 2 hours. The number of questions may vary from company to company, but the basic structure is the same. The 4 sections are:

1. General Aptitude
2. Professional Knowledge
3. Reasoning
4. English Skills

General Aptitude & Professional Knowledge is a little tougher than the other 2. Reasoning & English Skills section, These are very easy to solve. the Professional Knowledge's questions will be mainly based on IC Engines, Boilers, Rankine Cycle, Refrigeration & Ship's structure.
