The Admissions to NIFT are not based on the 12th marks nor is there any restriction on minimum percentage for being eligible for the test. It conducts its own entrance test results of which are considered for admission. 

NIFT entrance exam pattern is three tiered in its format for BDes and MDes course admissions. As part of the NIFT entrance exam 2019 candidates need to first appear for Creative Ability Test (CAT) which is followed by a General Ability Test (GAT). The final admission round for BDes course is a Situation Test
