Shubham within rank 2000 only can get good govt college and choice of your stream. 

If you are not confident this year than try for next year WBJEE and score within 1500-2000 rank to get college and stream of your choice. 

6000 to 8000 rank is tough to get good govt college.

You will get Govt. colleges like Jalpaiguri but not the best ones. You can get any branch at Techno, IEM except CSE & ECE, Heritage except CSE.
