In order to avail any scholarship or any other fee concession, you are encouraged to fill all details pertaining to the same, as the authorities will then and only then consider your application with that mindset. And also you will be segregated from the rest of the categories and helped out as and per your merit rank. If there is any way to correct it , I would suggest you do that and Also, probably send a mail to the incharge authorities so that they make allow you to make changes with a attested copy of your cast certificate.
