Generally admission in university of delhi colleges are based on cut off which is realeased by colleges on basis of 12th class marks obtained in board. Courses like ba, b.com, b.com honours, ba honours, admission is based on merit basis. And for courses like bba, bms, entrance exams are conducted for that.

So its depend that which course you wanted to pursue after 12th and accordingly admissions took place.
