As you can understand from the name information technology means whatever is necessary to create, store, process, manipulate and maintain the digital information is in here whereas in B.Sc CS is everything about building, maintaining and improving computers(hardware and software both) is in here. So I would suggest you to consider your interest, potential before choosing any stream for the same.
