Common Admission Test (CAT) is national-level management entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM). CAT scores are used for admission to various management institutes across the country. Schedule for CAT 2017 has been announced. The exam is scheduled to be held on November 26, 2017. Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA awarded by a recognised university or educational institute and the reserved category candidates, such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD), the minimum percentage to be secured in Bachelor’s Degree is 45 per cent.

The eligibility criteria of CAT has remained constant over the years.
Aspirants should have passed and obtained Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute.
The minimum percentage of aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA to be obtained or secured by the applicants is 50 for General category candidates and 45 for reserved category candidates.
Final year graduation students are also eligible to appear for the exam provided they fulfill the Bachelor’s degree cutoff and other factors within the stipulated schedule given by IIMs and other participating institutes.
