Dear Aspirant,

Christian Medical College, Ludhiana offers a total of only 75 MBBS seats for students belonging to different sections of the society to study Medicine. The seats provided to different categories are different and is also divided region wise.

Some seats are reserved for candidates from PUNJAB and the other seats are reserved for the candidates from the rest of India.

The category that you are concerned with i.e. category 2B is one of the sub Categories of Category 2 of seats in CMC, Ludhiana.

Category 2 seats is FOR---- students that below to the section of Christian Minority with Service Commitment.

I shall now explain the different sub categories that are under Category 2. There are seven subcategories of Category 2 and each sub category represents candidates from a particular state(s) and is a subset of Category 2.

The subcategories are-

1) 2A - Punjab -15 seats

2) 2B - Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry ( 6 seats ).

3) 2C - Goa, Maharashtra, Dadar and Nagar haveli, Lakshadweep, Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Rajasthan ( 6 seats)

4) 2D - Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Odisha , Jharkhand, West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands ( 6 seats )

5) 2E - UP, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura ( 6 seats)

6) 2F - Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh ( 6 seats )

7) 2G - Service Commitment with CMC Ludhiana and it's service centers ( 3seats)

I hope you understand the significance of the Category right now. If you have any further doubt you can post here.

Thank you, my required clarification is:
as per prospectus page 11 " filling of vacant seats for MBBS"
1. To my understanding 6 seats for six states under 2B sponsored by 3 cmc Ludhiana members from Chennai (2), Karnataka (5) & Kerala (1).
2. as per the prospectus 1st 2 seats from combined merit list. i. e. 2 highest scored out of total number of students from 8 institutions from 3 cmc Ludhiana member on the whole.
3. then 1seat each i. e. to my understanding out of Chennai sponsored students 1 seat, out of Karnataka sponsored students 1 seat & out of Kerala sponsored students 1 seat.
4. then how the balance 1seat allotted?.
This is only my personal calculation.
Just clarify me, what was the exactly the procedure where cmc adopts.

Respected sir/ ma'am, i am so much glad for your reply.
I will be greatful to you on your clarification reply.
Thanks once again.
