CGPA or Cumulative Grade Points Average. It is the average of Grade Points obtained in all the subjects excluding additional 6th subject as per Scheme of Studies. You can calculate CGPA by Multiplying the CGPA with 9.5 to get the overall indicative percentage.

Add the grade points for the five main subjects. For example, your grade points for the five main subjects are:

Subject 1 9

Subject 2 8

Subject 3 7

Subject 4 8

Subject 5 8

Step 1: Add the grade points 9+8+7+8+8 = 40

Step 2: Divide the sum by 5

40/5 = 8

Thus, your CGPA is 8.0

It is equally important to know the result in terms of percentage.

CGPA to Percentage Calculator

To convert the CGPA to Percentage, multiply it with 9.5.

In this case, if CGPA is 8.0 then the percentile is 8*9.5 = 76%

SGPA stands for Semester Grade Point Average. It is a grading scheme used by many universities. Mathematically, it is the weighted mean of the grades achieved in various subjects with the credits allotted to the subjects acting as weights.
