JoSAA is the joint seat allocation authority. For admission to IIT's after scoring in Jee Advance the counseling and seat allotment procedure will be made through JoSAA. If you are eligible for the admission you have to participate in joint seat allocation process by filling in the choice of your courses . 

The list of courses that will be offered by the IIT for admission for the academic year 2019-20 will be made available at the time of online filling-in of choices . Jee Advance counseling will be conducted completely in online mode after declaration of results.

The online registration for JoSAA counseling will begin from june 2019.

Seat allotment process will end on july 15,2019 (tentatively)

The counseling will be conducted in 7 rounds which may vary depending in the availability of seats.

Eligible candidates can withdraw their seats in any of the counseling rounds except the last round. The introduction of seat withdrawal option by the JoSAA official will be significant in the reduction of the number of unfilled seats at IITs , NIT, IIIT and GFTIs.
