Yes JOSAA scorecard is the key for your entrance in IIT. During concelling they will ask your score card marks for seat allotments. However if you are taking admission in NIT or IIIT then yous jee main score card if enough.

JEE Advaced Scorecard is necessary for the people who are taking asmission in an IIT . However the students taking admission in NITs/IIITs are not needed to take/ carry JEE Advanced scorecard alongwith them.
It is required for taking admission in an IIT because admission in IITs is based purely on JEE Advanced.
