Hope you are doing well. As per government regulations for NEET reservation criteria, 27% seats for OBC, 10% seats for EWS, 15% seats for SC and 7.5% seats for ST are reserved in Central Universities and state medical colleges.

With the implementation of 10% reservation under EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category, the total MBBS seats in India have been increased by 5200. As per the latest news, 50 more MBBS seats will be added to the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) from the next session onwards.

MBBS seats in India are offered in 541 medical colleges, which includes 278 government and 263 private institutes. After the increase of total MBBS BDS seats in India through NEET has gauged the chances of aspirants for admission in government, private, deemed/central institutes.
